Based at home and work at various site locations. Full-time position – M-F, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and possible (infrequent) evenings for emergencies or meetings. Opportunity to make positive contributions to a well-established and locally owned non-profit housing organization. This position will support the executive director in the management and refinement of the overall operations at existing residential properties. Will also provide needed assistance in repair projects, major renovations, and new developments.
Regular duties will primarily include assessing and monitoring work and communication flow; making recommendations for streamlining of processes and procedures; and identifying needed staff training. Work will also include completion of detailed tasks and audit reviews in all areas. This position will assist with requests for proposals; research for special purchases and new vendors; capital needs assessments; and budgets.
Qualified candidates will have knowledge of facilities maintenance and general construction; have in-depth management experience; be skilled in administrative and operational efficiency and effectiveness; and possess excellent working knowledge of relevant technologies. Seeking self-motivated, highly organized and detail-oriented candidates with excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills. Good judgment, a collaborative style, and an interest in training and helping others are musts. Will have competency in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing English to fulfill the job duties. Valid Hawai`i driver license and current auto insurance required.
