RESPONSIBILITIESJOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing health assessment, vaccinations, health education, first aid and assistance to employees who become injured at work or become ill on the job. Coordinates wellness programs for employees and provides education as necessary. Performs studies to identify and implement actions to improve the prevention of employee injuries and exposures and assures that plans meet Joint Commission, state and federal regulations.TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, and speaking. Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. Frequent: walking. Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object. Operates computer, calculator, telephone, fax and printer.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Occasional exposure to safety hazards, disease or contamination in relation to employee health. May be required to perform emergency care.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Current Hawaii state licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS-HCP certification.EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years healthcare experience as a Registered Nurse. Experience in Employee Health and Workers’ Compensation preferred. Experience to demonstrate:o Knowledge of employee health regulatory requirements (e.g. DOH, OSHA), workers’ compensation, vaccinations and wellness programs.o Ability to understand and analyze statistics.o Ability to interpret a patient’s self-report or behavior, including an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process.Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Vet
