Job Description:
Troubleshoot turbine/submersible pump assemblies and associated equipment (electrical controls, valves, right angle gear drives, electric motors, and meters) for these pumps used in industrial water supply, industrial water conveyance, fire suppression, irrigation and water level control.
Install and remove turbine/submersible pumps
Properly install and remove column assemblies for pumps
Drive and operate a pump rig
Operate truck mounted pump hoist
Operate truck mounted hydraulic crane
Have a working understanding of instruments (voltimeter, ohmmeter, mega-ohmmeter, multimeter, pressure gauges, alignment meter)
Requires the use of large wrenches for piping equipment installation and removal
Proper use of slings and hoisting devices
Use of cutting torch and welders
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 1 year experience with pumps and motors in the field service and/or shop repair and rebuild
Experience in electrical/mechanical trade preferred
Commitment to quality workmanship
Knowledge of electrical and control circuits – Helpful, not required
Ability to work independently and extended hours as needed
Willingness to travel within client territory
Must be able to pass a drug screen
CDL, Class B is required!
Responsibilities:
Check, troubleshoot and repair pumps and valve equipment at client locations
Efficiently repair and rebuild a variety of equipment
Ability to use precision measuring devices, testing equipment and tools
Follow all health and safety rules and regulations
Perform additional duties as assigned
