We are on a mission to rid the world of car crashes and teach safe & confident drivers for life.About This Role:Coastline is seeking a Classroom Driver's Education Teacher to join our growing organization and teach in-person driver's education classes at our school. This individual will work independently to set up the classroom each day and present and educate students on driver's safety. They will be solely responsible for teaching classes up to 35 students at a time. This is an opportunity to showcase your passion for education and make an impact on students becoming safe and confident drivers for life.Responsibilities include:

Set up the classroom each day

Take attendance

Teach and educate student on drivers' safety

Grade work and hold accountability with students

Clean classroom including wiping off materials, desks, taking out trash

Additional responsibilities as deemed appropriate by your supervisor

Required:

Teaching or leadership experience is preferred

Presentation skills including strong verbal and written communication skills

Professionalism with peers, supervisor, and students

Ability to work professionally with students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds

Basic automotive knowledge

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Intermediate knowledge of computers and applications on cell phones

Knowledge of Google Suite is preferred

Ability to maintain confidential information

Required Credentials:

Valid Illinois State Driver's License

Ability to become a licensed driving instructor

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting and standing

Must be able to see and hear

Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, touch, feel

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
