The ACM School of Music is seeking a part-time violin teacher to take over the studio of a departing teacher. Must have weekend availability and previous teaching experience. Experience teaching traditional and Suzuki lessons is a plus.
Job duties include:
Plan, prepare and evaluate violin lessons, activities and learning and teaching strategies through the maintenance of a professional teaching plan
Provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment in which consideration is given to the individual development of children and adults.
Utilize positive and supportive behavior management strategies that are conducive to effective learning and teaching
Help students prepare for regular recitals and other special events at the school.
Maintain good communications with parents to support ongoing practice and instrumental learning
Work within school policies
