Front End Developer, Remote
Kelly Services is seeking a Front End Developer for one of our top clients in Chicago, IL.Length: 07/12/2021 to 12/31/2021 (Contract W2) Type: Contract W2-There is no "per diem" with this position. There is no relocation budgeted for this position. If this position requires you to relocate you will be responsible for those costs. NO C2C, at this time we are not in the position to offer any type of sponsorships or VISA transfers for this position. Pay Rate: $54.03/hr. (W2) Schedule: CST Interview Process: VirtualOur team explores and develops compelling user experiences across a spectrum of internal tools and public web/app experiences, in partnership with business stakeholders and IT. We're looking for someone who is not only a React JS developer, but they're also UX practitioners who are passionate about human centered design, leverage best UX principles into development as well as apply mobile-first and responsive design and development.Job Responsibilities:- Your primary focus will be to work with cross-functional teams to educate and advocate for UX best practices through the development of applications to meet new and changing business objectives
- Primarily utilizing React JS and Test-Driven Development (TDD), you're expected to develop and maintain code on an "experience" team that is user-friendly, accessible, functional, reusable, responsive and cross-browser tested
- You're expected to bridge the gap between design and technology by translating designers' ideas/vision to other development teams through components and/or layouts for single-page applications
- You will need to effectively present to and/or collaborate with stakeholders, researchers, designers and other developers to transform complex requirements into functional user interfaces/user experiences
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or another job-related degree) and 4 years of experience OR 5 years of experience in front-end development
- Extensive experience using React, Redux, React Context, React Hooks, React Router, ES6+, Typescript, Node, JSON, Webpack, Git, GitHub, HTML5, SCSS, Jest
- Experience with design thinking, human-centered design, mobile-first and responsive design
- Experience with content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager is a huge plus
- Experience manipulating components for API integration and implementing APIs into single page applications
- Experience producing accessible code (screen reader and keyboard only) and ability to provide feedback on designs to ensure accessibility is taken into consideration
- Facilitates collaboration of cross-functional team and communicates and/or presents UX/UI experiences with stakeholders
