Complex Program Manager

If you are ready to help our clients and project teams succeed, we would love to meet you!Your Role and ResponsibilitiesIBM considers a Complex Program one which exhibits a majority of these characteristics:First-of-a-Kind Implementation of technology or service new to the local market

Complex Systems Integration with multiple applications, comprehensive data migration, interfaces

Cross-Brand delivery involving team members or technology owned by multiple business lines

Project Delivery in multiple countries, languages, vendors and teams exceeding 100 FTEs

Client Environment with challenging characteristics, history, difficulty in commitment

Client Transformation impacting critical-path functions and processes requiring a new level of change maturity

Contract Terms or Structure with combination T&M, fixed price, complex project change order processes, unique payment terms

Complexity introduced by other factors e.g. country-specific provisions, government -required security regulations, industry terms and conditions

As a Complex Program Manager you will manage end-to-end delivery of the schedule, scope and resources as defined in the contractual solution. Your role is to:Create one team; Work as a trusted advisor to your client

Ensure all parties understand the contract creating a governance structure and processes

Deliver against contractual obligations; Understand and manage client expectations; Develop and implement communications plan

Execute flawlessly by managing profitability, financials and all parties to achieve milestones

Required Technical and Professional ExpertisePMP Certified

Successful management of at least two Complex programs in the last six years, demonstrated by meeting contractual obligations on schedule and within budget.

Advanced skills in Program and Project Management - excels across all Program and Project management domains. Demonstrate abilities to successfully:

Manage overall scope, schedule, budget, communications, risks, issues, dependencies, governance processes including deliverable management, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, action items, status reports.

Enforce solution and commercial project change management to determine if a change is in scope or requires a project change request, coordinating change to comply with Legal and Finance requirements.

Collaborate with Architects, Technologists, Software Developers, Data Managers, Production support teams, Data Security & Privacy, Regulatory bodies, IBM Executive Stakeholders and corresponding client counterparts.

Demonstrate technical competence by:

Ability to combine Project Management expertise with an understanding of the technology supporting the program solution and goals

Experience working with technical leaders on the delivery team, understanding and facilitating technical discussions with the team, contribute to resolving technical issues impacting delivery

Ability to independently answer high level technical questions

Demonstrate knowledge of the client's environment and business - keen awareness of the client environment and change factors that may impact the delivery of the program.

Demonstrate Thought Leadership by breaking down a complex situation into more understandable and manageable pieces, negotiating solutions to complex and difficult situations while ensuring global teams understand delivery processes, procedures, disciplines, and tools to ensure delivery excellence.

Skilled Negotiator and Communicator - capable and comfortable operating at C-suite Level with client and supplier organizations. Develop creative solutions to address delivery and financial challenges while maintaining quality of delivery.

Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseIBM certified as a Complex Program Manager, Executive Project Manager or Senior Project Manager

Certified in one or more Cloud technologies

Agile, Scrum Certified

Certifications in both Project Management and Cloud technologies
