Excel Bookkeeper/Tax Associate

Description We are offering a contract position as a Bookkeeper in Chicago, Illinois. This role is situated within a dynamic industry where you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing tax-related documentation, managing accounts, and working with client needs. The Bookkeeper will also be involved in end-of-the-year preparation for tax filing, with an emphasis on S Corporations, C Corporations, and Non-Profits. Responsibilities: Accurately maintain financial records and ensure data integrity Prepare tax reports for S Corporations, C Corporations, and Non-Profits Perform account reconciliation tasks and manage discrepancies Assist in preparing the year-end tax filing documentation Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting Handle account payable and account receivable duties Perform month-end closing activities Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks Execute data entry tasks as required for the role Conduct bank reconciliation tasks on a regular basisRequirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role Proficient in account reconciliation Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) Skilled in performing bank reconciliations Strong background in bookkeeping Ability to efficiently handle data entry tasks Expertise in using Microsoft Excel Experience in managing month-end close processes Proficiency in QuickBooks software.
