- Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements
- Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
- Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, and business) in design and development of client requirements
- Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work
- Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
- Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality
- Participate, contribute and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes
- Ability to design and develop manual and automated test plans within an application
- Performed test plan reviews
- Previous role as a QA automation professional with 8+ years experience
- Basic knowledge of automation and continuous delivery practices. Ability to participate in their role and utilize necessary tools with minimal guidance
- Understands all roles and responsibilities within their team, and uses the tool sets within the software lifecycle
- Contributes to artifacts needed for governance forums
- Understands stakeholder expectations and creates regular updates to keep stakeholders informed
- Understands risks and can apply the controls necessary to mitigate
- Knows when to escalate risks
- Actively participates in planning ceremonies
- Ability to complete a task/story against plan/sprint commitment
- Demonstrates working knowledge of Agile/Waterfall frameworks
- Experienced in planning, analyzing, designing and executing UI automation and regression test scenarios using UFT
- Previous experience creating frameworks using UFT from scratch (either hybrid or data driven)
- Demonstrable expertise writing and executing SQL queries
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Great team player, with an ability to mentor other team members to enable them to become more established in their role
- A willingness to get involved at times even when not in the area of expertise
