Background & Purpose of the Job Sanitation supervisor provides strong leadership to the sanitation team to achieve high quality in the cleaning and sanitization of felling equipment, compliance with all safety, GMP, FDA, and company internal procedures and policy. Who You Are & What You’ll Do The sanitation supervisor is responsible for the daily management of all cleaning and sanitization activities in the scope of product contact parts and entire line, personnel and project support for all related to the equipment that has contact with product to prevent contamination and ensure a high quality product. Sanitation supervisor performs a variety of task including special projects, cleaning, sanitizing, requisition of cleaning and sanitization supplies, inspection, audit, design and recommendation to improve filling equipment, and other duties as required by business needs. The Sanitation Supervisor works with full latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment to address and resolve issue but required to justify actions. Sanitation supervisor is a position that will required work in a team environment, on especial projects with other departments, also will help to create and develop news methods ,staff training and evaluation, daily reports as they become necessary, task and activities will required shift flexibility, including overnight work, weekend work, and the possibility to travel to another’s sites. Essential Job responsibilities. Lead the sanitation team in a safe working practices including chemical handling, PPE and any company and osha requirements. Deep understanding of the manufacturing and machines working and equipment design or parts design to ensure proper equipment cleaning and sanitization. Problem solve with other teams, like production, Quality, engineering, with open mind an on a highly cooperative environment of cooperation in a positive a professional manner. Develop and improve cleaning processes to ensure efficient and timely cleaning of production equipment’s . Recommend improvements on equipment’s and methodology to improve cleaning. Assign work schedule to employees and request necessary staff for work on especial project , line maintenance weekends. Assign task to employees according to business needs. Coach employee when performance is not up to standard, evaluate employee performance and holds disciplinary/coaching meeting as needed. Set work standard for the cleaning and sanitization team. Plan And schedule cleaning projects with engineering and or production department. Orders cleaning and parts for the packing floor and other departments as needed being mindful of budget and approval of management team. Schedule daily task for employees on floor. Make recommendation for improvement. Flexible scheduling, some working hours are determined by production schedule and business needs, work overtime as needed and for the completion of especial projects or task . Other duties dictated by business needs. Ensure all safety procedure are followed. Develop and modified SOP as needed. Work with Quality to find root causes and of possible contamination of product and to create new procedures as needed. What You’ll Need to Succeed High school diploma or equivalent is required. at least 2 – 3 years' of experience in quality, ideally with 1-2 years' experience in lead/supervisor roles; Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suit and power platforms. Excellent documentation practices, knowledge of GMP and Quality standards. Preferred qualifications:Ability to communicate clearly, professionally and effectively and being high quality oriented. Being high quality oriented. Knowledge of safe handling or hazardous material, RCRA, DOT-HAZMAT. Being able to stand for long periods of times . Basic Knowledge of continuous improvement frameworks like, 5s, Lean- six sigma, WCM, etc. Highly and quick problem-solving mentality. As needed, open to work on weekends and another shift. Knowledge of hygienic design of equipment’s . Knowledge and understanding a method of training and instruction. Basic knowledge of chemistry and microbiology. Knowledge of imperial and metric system to procure product contact parts for the machine.
