• 10+ years of software engineering experience ideally across multiple domains.
• 5+ years of experience with a major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• Hands-on practical experience working with the latest technologies, defining, and aligning people to a technology vision that drives strategic business priorities forward.
• Fluency in the development and use of enterprise architecture frameworks, patterns, and best practices to drive business transformation (Zachman, TOGAF, Gartner, etc.).
• Knowledge of a broad range of functional areas including: TOGAF/EA methodologies, Security, ITSM/ITIL process design, Cloud Strategy, Migration roadmaps, TCO/ROI Analysis, Agile Framework (SAFe), and Product Engineering Methodologies and intent to automate.
• Expertise in at least 3 areas listed below:
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, ARM, Pulumi.
  • Programing and scripting languages (Java, bash, Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, etc.)
  • Networking principles and technologies: DNS, Load Balancers, Routing etc.
  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab Runners, GitLab Actions, Argo, AWS Code, Azure DevOps
  • IAM: cloud IAM, active directory, RBAC, ABAC, Federation, OAuth, OpenID
  • Serverless Computing, Cloud Native principles, and Containerization.

• Design level thinking capable of presenting complex architectures in a meaningful way for clients not familiar with cloud.
• Architecting greenfield cloud platforms, including operational, security, and developer considerations.
• Networking: Experience/Exposure to architecting global hybrid networks.
• TLS/SSL, encryption, and key management principles
• Container experience with Kubernetes (or platforms like EKS, AKS, OpenShift)
• Cloud Certifications or the desire to obtain them is a big plus

• Bring immediate credibility to the enterprise architecture team as a trusted advisor based on your technical depth and experience in designing scalable and secure Cloud Platforms.
• Identify and articulate technology strategies, identify business capabilities, and establish the "why" behind systems' existence and how the systems fit together in as cohesive whole.
• Create functional design specifications, reference architectures, roadmaps and assist with other project deliverables as needed.
• Take ownership of a business problem, work side-by-side with stakeholders of all levels, and connect the dots between business, technologies, and the market; using innovative techniques and tools to get it done.
• Shape, influence, and structure cloud projects with a heavy orientation toward doing the right thing for our business, including multi-cloud possibilities.
