About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Field Data Collection Technician to assist with documenting plumbing and HVAC equipment at customer sites. The position involves traveling to various locations to collect and record equipment information, including model and serial numbers, photos, and QR code tagging. Data will be organized and entered using Google Sheets.
Responsibilities:
Visit customer sites to inspect and document plumbing and HVAC equipment
Record model numbers, serial numbers, and take clear photos of equipment
Apply and scan QR code tags for tracking
Enter data accurately into Google Sheets in real time
Maintain organized, consistent, and detailed records
Communicate with the project manager regarding progress and site issues
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (mileage and vehicle expenses reimbursed)
Ability to travel daily to assigned customer sites
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Google Sheets and smartphone apps
Professional communication and appearance at customer sites
Ability to work independently and manage daily schedules
Compensation:
$25 per hour
Mileage and vehicle expense reimbursement
Temporary full-time position (4–8 weeks) with potential for permanent employment
