Job Title: Part-Time Personal Assistant for Alternative Rental Space

Location: River West, Chicago, IL (Near Chicago Blue Line Station)

Hours: 15-20 hours per week, flexible, potential for more hours as we grow

Pay: $20 per hour, with potential for a salaried position for the right candidate

Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Assistant with a flexible schedule to support the owner of an alternative, unique rental space in the River West area. This position is ideal for someone who already works remotely or has their own freelance business and is available to commit to 15-20 (potentially more) hours per week, with both remote and in-person duties at our location. The right candidate will be comfortable in a more unconventional, creative space and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Maintenance: Light to moderate cleaning duties, including disinfection and laundry, ensuring that the space is always in top condition for revolving renters.

Inventory and Stock Management: Taking regular inventory, restocking supplies, and sometimes shopping for needed items.

Administrative Support: Assisting with general administrative tasks and organizing documents as needed.

Social Media Management: Developing content ideas, creating posts, and managing our social media presence, with a focus on engaging and building our audience.

Client Relations: Acting as a point of contact for certain renters, handling inquiries professionally, and providing occasional support when the owner is unavailable.

Errands and Miscellaneous Tasks: Running errands, taking care of general upkeep, and other tasks as they arise.

Qualifications:

Strong Organization Skills: You are meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented with a scrutinizing eye for areas that need improvement.

Excellent Communication: A clear, direct communicator who is comfortable handling client interactions and relaying information accurately in a professional manner.

Self-Sufficient and Reliable: Able to work independently with minimal supervision, and always follows through on tasks.

Physically Capable: Able to lift 25+ pounds if necessary.

Flexible Schedule: Available to work a variable schedule of approximately 15-25 hours per week, with the understanding that some tasks are flexible but others will require timely completion. Some of this will be remote online work, some will be in-person physical work.

Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with basic social media management, content creation, and general tech use for administrative support.

Preferred Qualifications:

Location and Transport: Reside in or near River West (close to the Chicago Blue Line stop) and have a reliable means of transportation, ideally your own vehicle.

Comfortable in Alternative Settings: Our space serves a creative, niche community, and the ideal candidate should feel at ease in a more unconventional rental setting. We feature a kink theme and our patrons are those in the community seeking space for content creation, or are couples engaging in play.

Handy Skills: While not required, any practical skills in maintenance or repairs would be a bonus.

Compensation:

Hourly Pay: $20 per hour (paid as a 1099 contractor; the individual is responsible for their own taxes).

Potential for more hours and Salary: We are open to discussing a salaried position and additional responsibilities for the right candidate.

Additional Requirements:

Non Disclosure Agreement

Criminal background check required

Interview required (zoom or in-person)

Flexible availability and willingness to support the business owner who may be frequently out of town

To Apply: Please submit your resume including your phone number, along with a brief cover letter describing your interest in the role and why you feel you would be a good fit. We look forward to hearing from detail-oriented, reliable candidates who are ready to help maintain and grow our unique space in a professional and supportive environment.
