We are looking for someone to fill the role of our second shift security guard. This is a full time position and often requires overtime, resulting in 10 hour shifts and/or working 6 days a week. Please do not apply if that will be a problem for you.
General Responsibilities
- Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Monitors inside and outside of building through use of security camera network to ensure safety of staff as well workplace rules and codes are being observed.
- Reports daily to manager of activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.
- Warns persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehends or evicts violators from premises.
Qualifications:
-Dependable Personality and Transportation.
-Able to sit and stay in security command center for almost the entirety of their shift besides breaks.
-Familiarity with using computers, access control systems, and/or security camera software.
-Previous security experience a plus.
