Looking for an experienced OTR Dispatcher capable of covering up to 13 trucks with reefers and flatbeds/stepdecks on the spot market.
This is a 1099 in office position only in Hammond IN. Must have extensive experience booking loads on spot market for reefers, dry van and flatbeds and have knowledge in HOS rules.
Requirements:
-Prior experience in load booking/dispatching step deck and flat bed
-Hours of service knowledge
-Excellent communication skills
-Team Player-Enthusiastic and Positive attitude
Responsible for communicating with the truck drivers and customers via phone or email for dispatching.
Responsible for keeping track of the driver's location and HOS driven to make sure loads are delivered on time.
Maximizing gross revenue per each truck
Proficient in ProTransport TMS software
Soliciting customers/shippers to acquire new accounts for drivers
Pre-planning drivers to maximize revenue for the week

We expect you to:
Communicate with brokers, customers and drivers
Negotiate rates for dry van, reefer, flats and stepdecks
Keep up to date with freight market trends and load rates
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $800.00 - $2,200.00 per week
Schedule:
Holidays
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
