Job Description
The
Wellness Coordinatorreflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.The Coordinator is responsible for instructing yoga, fitness and wellness classes for the oncology population as well as oversight and administrative tasks related to Living Well's programs that directly support the strategic plan and vision of Living Well Cancer Resource Center.
Qualifications
Required:- Bachelor's degree in exercise science or health
- Certification in yoga, pilates, meditation, and/or exercise therapy/physiology
- Minimum of three years of experience teaching yoga and/or fitness classes
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work with oncology patients and adapt classes to fit their needs
- Recruitment and oversight of volunteer instructors
- Utilization management of classes
- Excellent communication skills, project and time management skills
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft TEAMS
Preferred:
- Oncology experience
- Certification in yoga, pilates, meditation, and/or exercise therapy/physiology
