Description:The primary responsibility for the Sr. Accountant will be to support the month-end close process, ensure account reconciliations are completed accurately and in accordance with GAP/SOX requirements. The Sr. Accountant will play a key role in support SOX compliance, ensuring all policies and procedures are compliant with regulatory requirements.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but not limited to):· Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to include posting/reviewing journal entries, recording applicable accruals, and preparing/reviewing account reconciliations.· Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements; recommend improvements to minimize financial risk and remediate deficiencies.· Prepare timely and accurate financial reports in compliance with GAAP· Conduct regular review of accounting processes to identify areas for efficiencies.· Perform in-depth analysis of financial data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and variances in actual results versus forecast/budget.· Prepare and review periodic and ad hoc reports/analysis to all levels of management following up timely on questions.Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree or Equivalent work experience in accounting · 3+ years of accounting experience required About Aston Carter: Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
