Join us.Job Summary:Plans, directs, and leads engineering staff and activities to ensure projects, initiatives and processes comply with established policies/objectives. Enterprise ownership for engineering related processes and tools including, but not limited to, advanced product quality planning, cost management, failure mode and effects analysis, and requirements management.What You Will Do: Managing the engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on organizational goals achievement, professional development, and continuous improvement. Monitoring and continuously improving product and process performance, quality and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables. Providing leadership to create and maintain processes used to design, develop and manufacture components, systems, products, services, and technologies.Education Requirement: Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.What Skills You Will Have:Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Demonstrates the value and necessity of linking tactical plans to overall strategic plan. Plans for allocation of resources in line with unit goals, technical and business objectives. Ensures the planning process is integrated with the overall business plan.Technical Excellence: Demonstrated ability to find innovative solutions to challenges. Experience in new product development, continuous product improvement, and advanced product quality planning. Working knowledge of software development, database management, product lifecycle management, data visualization, cost management, and project management.Customer/Market Focus: Drives processes and tools that are easy to use and defect free. Seeks customer feedback to improve Coaches others to improve focus on the customer.Managing People: Implements coaching and mentoring programs to ensure the holistic development of employees. Monitors employee morale and satisfaction; recognizes employee contributions and achievements. Regularly reviews employee performance and provides constructive feedback. Works collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds; understands their needs and perspectives.Collaborating Globally: Builds trust with internal and external partners and reconciles conflicting interests if they arise Uses internal and external network of leaderships or experts to help achieve organizational and client goals. Oversees a team collaboration to produce positive business results.Influencing Through Expertise: Communicates complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner so that others can understand.
