an AbbVie Experiential Intern, you'll participate in a paid, ten to twelve-week
summer program that is focused on providing students with robust projects
throughout the summer. As an intern, you will be located at our corporate
headquarters in north suburban Chicago, with housing and shuttle services for
eligible students.DepartmentOverview – Analytical R&DPredictive Stability and Structural
ElucidationAssignmentDetailsThe intern would use our standard degradation
protocols with model compounds and analyze the samples using an appropriate
analytical method to quantify the parent and degradation products. Identification of the degradation products
and plausible mechanisms will be done with analytical techniques. These characterization techniques will
include HPLC as well as some thermal or physical characterization techniques as
the selected model compounds will potentially include hydrates as well as anhydrate
molecules. Previously generated data of
our pipeline molecules that have also used these standardized protocols would
mined be to develop a scoring system to be able to compare our internal
development compounds with the model compounds.Basic:
Completedat least one year of graduate education before beginning internship
Mustbe enrolled in school the semester following your internship
PhDStudent inChemistry, PharmD
MinimumCumulative GPA: 3.0/4.0
Mustbe authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiringsponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated).
