The Education Quality Coordinator (EQC) is an experienced nurse who coordinates and participates in the provision of education and nursing quality improvement. The EQC evaluates, monitors, and improves the quality of nursing care at Rush Oak Park Hospital. The EQC plans, implements, and evaluates educational activities to promote high standards of nursing practice throughout the surgical realm. The EQC reports to the Unit Director of Surgery and has accountability to the clinical director for department specific activities. The EQC is a leader and a role model exemplifying the Rush mission, vision, and values while acting in accordance with Rush Oak Park Hospital policies and procedures. Required Job Qualifications: 3 to 5 years of OR experience required Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Master’s Degree in: Nursing from an accredited school of nursing or related field experience is required. Current CPR Current Illinois License as Registered Nurse Professional nursing certification within 36 months of hire. Demonstrated progressive, proficient leadership skills. Demonstrated clinical expertise.Preferred Job Qualifications: Professional nursing certificationPhysical Demands: Work requires ability to move throughout the Medical Center. Work requires lifting or carrying objects 15-25 lbs.Competencies: A high level of analytical ability is required. Communication skill is required in order to lead and teach others. Ability to interact effectively with others in difficult situations. PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills The ability to check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data, and closely examine images or reports as required.Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm; Weekend Frequency: no weekends; Shift: 8 hours; 80 hours per pay period (2020-1175)Rush is an equal opportunity employer.
