Amyx is seeking to hire a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Security Engineer to support our Cyber Security Team on the PEO-T Support in the Scott AFB area. Responsibilities and Daily Tasks: Meeting participation supporting government customer, processing of Minor Modifications to systems, IATT package preparations and processing, risk assessment activities, program documentation review with a focus on cybersecurity requirements, POA&M generation, tracking, and maintenance, risk acceptance requirement definition and documentation, FISMA Annual Security Reviews and Security Control Tests.

Able to and/or have experience with:

Assessing threats to program/environment

Assessment & Authorization (A&A) Process

Certification & Accreditation (C&A) Process

Computer Network Defense (CND) operations, monitoring, and analysis

Consulting with customers to define needs or problem

Custom Source Code, Vulnerability Analysis and Documentation

Cybersecurity and IT systems and tools administration and maintenance

Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)

Designing/developing IA or IA-enabled products, interface specifications, and approaches to secure environment

DISA STIGs

DoD Information Technology (IT)

DoDI 8510.01

Ensuring architecture and design of DoD information systems are functional and secure

Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)

Incident response/contingency planning, tracking, and resolution; cross-domain solutions support; inter-agency coordination; and PKI procedures and guidance

Initiating, supervising, and/or developing requirements from project inception to conclusion for complex programs

IT security tools (e.g. IDS, IPS, HBSS, etc.) and operating systems (e.g. Windows, LINUX, etc.)

Leading a task, project or team

NIST and DoD security policies, directives, and guidelines

Particular expertise (exceptional and/or highly unique skills) involving IA/cyber security application of DoD policy, direction, and guidance to customer environments

Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS) Registry and Processes

Providing detailed analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues

Providing strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff

Researching, documenting, tracking, and sustaining POA&M requirements until remediation is achieved

Reviewing/providing feedback on adequacy of security designs and architectures

Risk Assessment, Analysis, and Documentation

Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Transitioning customer from DIACAP to RMF

Transitioning customer from on-premise environments to cloud environments

Vulnerability assessment and management; as well as metrics consolidation and reporting (to include the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements)

Working independently and as an integrated team member

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Secret Clearance, or higher

IAM Level II Certification

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Associate, Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Information Technology field

Cloud-based certifications

Experience with MicroFocus Fortify Scan Tool

Military or Government service supporting personnel programs
