Accounts Receivable: Knowledge of an organization's billing requirements; ability to utilize the proper tools and follow accounts receivable practices and procedures.

Maintenance of the dunning process to ensure customers pay to agreed terms, taking appropriate action to mitigate financial risk to the organization and maintaining effective SOX controls

Effectively executing the Caterpillar internal accounting practices and procedures in accordance with our credit policy and corporate guidelines

Support the external audit process and internal SOX compliance reviews

Assist in the preparation of cyclical reports (typically weekly, monthly, quarterly) and attendance of meetings as required

Action month end tasks, ensuring key deadlines are met and corporate reporting is completed

Preparation and support of monthly reconciliations to tight deadlines

Contribute towards process improvements, utilizing data analytics to empower our customers and deliver new initiatives

What You Have:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics and 3+ years of progressively responsible job-related experience; Invoice to cash, risk management, finance, or accounting experience

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision - Level Working Knowledge:

Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change. - Level Working Knowledge:

Followership: Knowledge of and the ability to carry out strategies and tasks that support the mission and goals of the leader and the organization. - Level Basic Understanding:

Financial and Accounting Systems: Knowledge of functions, features and capabilities of financial and accounting systems; ability to use financial and accounting applications specific to the organization. - Level Basic Understanding:

Technical: Highly competent user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Relationship Building: To cultivate strong relationships with internal and external customers at various levels, using good communications skills.

Top Candidate Will Also Have:

High focus on interactions and provide a high level of support to customers and dealers

Experience with Power BI, Power Automate

Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and/or other financial reporting governance controls

Experience in a high value/transaction role using multiple currencies with excellent accuracy and attention to detail

Have worked in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial global environment

Good knowledge of accounting, financial accounting, and strong analytical skills

Have a working knowledge of the SAP ERP system

Additional Information:

Location: Peoria, IL

Some travel required (< 5% working time)

This is a hybrid position (currently requiring 3 days per week in the office)
