Description We are in search of a Business/Data Analyst (IT) - Advanced to join our team in Quincy, Massachusetts. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the IT industry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting our team in processing and analyzing data, supporting projects, and improving our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.Responsibilities: Facilitate user meetings and conduct interviews to define business and system requirements. Analyze current processes, recommend improvements, and develop use cases to enhance efficiency. Conduct industry research and competitive analysis to stay abreast of technological developments. Apply your understanding of the SDLC process to contribute to project planning and management. Maintain accurate documentation of plans, issue logs, and project documentation. Use communication skills to work effectively within a team environment and resolve customer inquiries. Handle tasks related to maintaining logs, resolving issues, and providing business analysis. Support the engineering team in re-engineering and documenting our new SDLC process. Participate in meetings and working group sessions as needed. Use Zoom for virtual meetings and other collaborative work. Requirements Demonstrable experience in Business Analysis or Data Analysis within IT Proficient in SDLC - Software Development Life Cycle Strong skills in Communication, Documentation, Training, and Research Expertise in Planning Processes and Competitor Analysis Experience in Project Planning, Benchmarking, and Technological advancements Ability to maintain logs and resolve issues effectively Experience in using tools like Zoom for meetings and presentations Capable of conducting Research Analysis and Interviewing stakeholders Knowledge of Engineering practices and ability to liaise with Suppliers Experience in onsite workstation support Proficiency in creating Use Cases Familiarity with Phone Screens for preliminary candidate assessment Knowledge of 'About Time' software will be considered a plus. Ability to adapt to changing work environments and technological advancements. Experience in conducting competitor analysis for business improvement. Must have a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
