Job Title: Machine Operator / Mill OperatorCandidates will work on the production floor with 12+ employees per shift. The average tenure of the employees in production is between 10 - 15 years. Our client has large kettles that mix paint and funnel it into a three-roll milling machine, which disperses the paint into a drum. This milling machine is controlled by a panel that adjusts the temperature, speed, etc.Job Description
Responsible for scraping paint from the mill into the drum to prevent backups.
Monitor machine at all times to ensure the product flow does not get jammed
Lifting of 30 - 50 lbs is required
Operate a sit-down forklift to move drums to the staging area
While machine rungs, prepare the next drum, scrap, discard, and move drums
Repack filled containers into smaller sizes if requested by the customer
Comfortable with miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, or mopping.
Work EnvironmentSchedule: Monday - Friday; Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm; 1st Shift: 6AM-2:30PM $18/hour; 2nd Shift: 2PM-10:30PM $18.50/hour; 3rd Shift: 10PM-6:30AM $19/hour (for 90 days only, train on 1st). The production floor is clean and organized, but the facility is hot due to ink manufacturing and tub washing machines. All candidates are required to wear vests (color-coded for a permanent employee, contract employee, supervisor, guest). Steel toes are mandatory and must be worn at all times on the floor.
