Job Title: Pharmacy Automation TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Pharmacy Automation Technician is responsible for the set-up and safe operation of designated production equipment in pharmacy fulfillment. Responsibilities include feeding supplies, such as drug products and packaging materials, into machines, ensuring hoppers are equally fed with raw materials, and maintaining the machines at capacity. The technician will diagnose and resolve some mechanical problems, perform minor repairs or adjustments, and replace machine components as needed. Ongoing monitoring of output is necessary to ensure machines operate as expected and produce final products that meet pharmacy quality standards.Responsibilities

Perform all tasks in compliance with the Board of Pharmacy, SOPs, Equipment Manuals, and OSHA regulations.

Set up, adjust, and maintain sachet creation machines and packaging lines.

Perform cleaning and preventive maintenance steps as per the manual.

Assist with loading rolls of film onto the sachet machine and ensure proper alignment.

Maintain levels of raw materials, including drug products, across multiple hoppers to ensure machines run at capacity and minimize defects.

Identify defects and make appropriate changes to prevent ongoing waste.

Perform some troubleshooting and make minor repairs as needed.

Escalate more complicated equipment problems to Production Mechanics.

Collaborate with Production Mechanics by providing a summary of issues and troubleshooting steps taken.

Minimize machine downtime and communicate any downtime to management.

Perform evening shutdown tasks, including recording daily output.

Ensure regular and predictable attendance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Some mechanical knowledge or work experience.

State-specific Pharmacy Technician License, or commitment to complete the ‘technician in training’ requirements approved by the state-specific Board of Pharmacy within six months of hire.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Work EnvironmentThis position requires working Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, or Tuesday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The work involves operating and maintaining pharmacy automation equipment in a fulfillment setting. Dress code and facility conditions will be shared during the interview process.Pay Rate: $22/hrPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
