Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana. As a Collections Specialist, your primary job function will be to manage a portfolio of accounts, focusing on Accounts Receivable and aged accounts that are 60 days or less. This role involves significant written and verbal communication, and requires meticulous data entry into existing reports. Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of accounts, focusing on Accounts Receivables and aged accounts that are 60 days or less Utilize written and verbal communication skills to resolve collection issues Follow established processes and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient collections Provide excellent customer service while resolving collection issues Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry into existing reports Transition between applications efficiently Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary action to collect delinquent payments Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements Proficient in Microsoft Excel Knowledge of Collection Processes Experience as a Collector in a professional setting Understanding of Credit systems and management Excellent Customer Service skills Familiarity with Collections in a Consumer-focused environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills Proactive and able to work independently Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under stress Experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required High school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in finance or a related field is a plus.
