Elderly gentleman with Parkinson's needs assistance two days per week. Hours are 9am to 9pm. Applicants must have the physical capacity to lift and support a disabled person as they move between the bed, the bathroom, and the kitchen. This requires both strength and technique to avoid injury to either party. Prior experience is very helpful. Other aspects of the job include preparing meals, assisting with bathroom hygiene, and maintaining a clean environment.
Please note: This care giver position is for a private family directly. There is no agency or other corporate employer involved, so the care giver will act as a self-employed independent contractor. The family will pay the care giver on a weekly basis without withholding taxes or offering benefits of any kind.
