Process Engineer / Metallurgist

Process Engineer needed at an aluminum finishing mill. In this engineering position, you will provide support in maintaining and improving equipment safety at the plant. An outcome of your good work will also improve quality of the product, reliability of the machinery, and control the cost of operations. You will also be responsible for capital projects and continuous improvement projects. This job is not in Indiana. It is in Mississippi. I am advertising in your area in order to locate people interested in a well-funded startup operation.This job is in Eastern Mississippi, near Starkville. I am advertising this job in order to attract candidates who will consider relocation.You will be responsible for evaluating equipment failures and developing solutions for chronic failures.Participate in new or replacement equipment selection and help to standardize components used throughout the plant.Assist in developing engineering or maintenance procedures that are safe and effective.Ensure that equipment, and equipment maintenance and repair procedures meet all company and government requirements for safety.Contribute or lead continuous improvement Kaizens or DMAIC projectsWork on development of predictive maintenance schedules. Should have experience in training of mill maintenance and operations workers.
