Description We are in search of a dedicated Controller for our operations in the Food & Food Processing industry, located in ANKENY. This role offers a contract employment opportunity where the selected individual will handle the complexities of co-packer pricing, review changes in ingredient and material pricing, and perform standard Controllership responsibilities.Responsibilities: Manage co-packer complexities and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness. Regularly review and analyze changes in ingredient and material pricing to optimize costs. Undertake standard Controllership responsibilities, ensuring financial integrity and regulatory compliance. Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning the business and understanding its dynamics. Comfortably interact with a small team, fostering a collaborative work environment. Report directly to the owner, ensuring clear and effective communication. Utilize accounting, inventory, and production systems for efficient operations. Effectively use the Pricing system to maintain competitive pricing strategies. Execute background in manufacturing/production for improved business operations. Use skills in '3M', 'Accounting Software Systems', 'ADP - Financial Services', 'CRM', 'Crystal Reports', 'Accounting Functions', 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Accounts Receivable (AR)', 'Auditing', 'Budget Processes' to deliver on job requirements.Requirements Proficient in 3M and other Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and CRM Experience in using Crystal Reports Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Prior experience in Auditing Understanding of Budget Processes Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within the Food & Food Processing industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Relevant certifications such as CPA or CMA will be an added advantage.
