Description Experimental Parts Procurement (Contract) - John Deere Works, AnkenyPosition Overview:Join our team as an Experimental Parts Procurement Specialist at John Deere Works in Ankeny! In this dynamic role, you will play a critical part in the manufacturing process, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication between departments. You’ll work hands-on with advanced systems like SAP, CREO, and AutoCAD, while contributing to the production of cutting-edge equipment.Key Responsibilities:

Develop and refine manufacturing routings and laser operation programs.

Review and interpret part prints for production.

Monitor and manage production and forecasted inventories.

Facilitate the transfer of stock between departments, ensuring seamless material flow.

Liaise with supply management on part availability and stock levels.

Update and maintain daily and weekly reports using Excel and other MS Office tools.

Occasionally design and model simple parts for the shop floor.

Provide troubleshooting support for part requests, laser programs, and manufacturing routings.

SAP

CREO

AutoCAD

MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Education: 2-year degree in Pre-Engineering, Manufacturing/Engineering Tech, Computer-Aided Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: Hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting.

Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, strong organizational and communication skills, and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings/prints.

Technical Expertise: Experience with CREO and AutoCAD is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

4-year degree.

Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of sheet metal and fabrication processes.

Familiarity with SAP.

Strong computer proficiency.
