UBMS provides academic enrichment, retention services, post-secondary preparation, and a summer residential program to low-income and first-generation students. The goal of the program is to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science while providing a fun, exciting summer experience to our students!We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team as a Chemistry Instructor! Students attend our program for 5 weeks on campus to help prepare for their next year's coursework! Instructors will teach 2 hour courses (one hour instruction, one hour work) twice a week for four weeks to the Upward Bound Math and Science Scholars. Position includes curriculum creation, assignments, final, and grading. Time will be allotted ahead of summer for the creation of curriculum.Required Qualifications:Graduate student in a related field plus one year of teaching experience required.Desirable Qualifications:Master's degree; secondary teaching certification; and experience working with underrepresented students preferred.Online Application Required DocumentsApplication Type:This job requires basic applicant information, plus a resume.
