The PC Systems Specialistwill support the US Army Corrections Command (ACC) Army Corrections Brigade (ACB) G6 at Fort Leavenworth, KS. Install,set up or relocate, configure, troubleshoot, and support PC/server hardware and software.
Install and configure software upgrades; configure and perform tuning of operating systems to enhance PC performance.
Install and configure network interfaces and Internet connections; diagnose network cable and configuration problems.
Installand maintainspecialized software, including performing setup functions, developing associated file structures, report formats, and input forms, ensuring file security, performing data entry to populate associated databases, and documenting procedures.
Implement and design an organization-wide set of standards forfuture and existing information systems.
Direct and lead multiple projects,including theplanning, design, organization, and implementation while providing subject matter expertise and technical guidance.
Support ticketsfor Training Management Directorate (TMD) users.
Report directly to Senior Leadership regarding ongoing projects and tasks.
Provides help desk information and support; determines the cause of the problem; offers temporary solutions if the problem cannot be resolved within an appropriate timeframe.
Respondto user inquiries and requests and provide technical assistance on PC systems, related hardware and software, and standard applications
Coordinate support with the local Network Enterprise Center.

US Citizen
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 SecretClearance.
BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or five (5+) years in a desktop support role with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts OR an IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CEequivalent or higher).
Experience with SharePoint-relatedsite administration, optimization, and development experience.
Preferred:
Active Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.
Problem solver and troubleshooterwho thrives in resolvingcomplex problems.
Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
