DescriptionJOB TITLE: Supervisor, Regional StoresREQUISITION: CFO0052DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain – Wichita Operations CenterLOCATION: Wichita, KSPAY RANGE: $79,100 - $105,400Scheduled Work Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday Job requires being on call 24/7 and unscheduled work hours also.Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:This position directly supervises Storeroom employees within our service territory. Acts as a liaison with satellite management and the Supply Chain for all locations assigned and provides leadership and guidance to stores and operations personnel regarding inventory stocking levels and operational logistics. Works directly with service center management to provide emergency and storm support materials and resources, when required. Must have strong customer focus and the ability to manage people and situations effectively. Is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.Responsibilities/Duties:Financial Leadership:

Responsible for leading the service center storerooms to achieve annual financial and productivity goals.

Lead in developing strategy to continuously improve the business, including productivity and efficiency improvements.

Oversees inventory management controls, ensuring accuracy, accurate inventory stock locating, interfacing with Inventory Management to maintain a high fill rate and proper inventory levels & mix.

Operations Leadership:

Establish, manage, and coordinate Supply Chain Management operation strategies and activities.

Collaborate in the monitoring, addressing, and resolving nonworking and slow-moving inventory.

Lead a team of hourly union employees (1523 & 304) to achieve logistical excellence, attain company goals, and provide superior customer service.

Drive communication within the operations centers’ storerooms and local management.

Recommend measures to improve methods and equipment performance while keeping quality of service in mind.

Evaluate current practices and drive standardization efforts to improve productivity.

Introduce new ideas and best practices into a mature environment.

Drive achievement of metrics in line with corporate goals and direction.

Resolve escalated problems. Training company employees on material standards, functions, and installation practices.

People Leadership:

Drive the development of staff.

Provide opportunities for cross training.

Provide mentoring, coaching, performance reviews, and career development for staff.

Initiate and implement strategies to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

Assign responsibility for specified work or functional activities and disseminates policies and objectives to staff.

Directs, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.

Safety:

Lead a safety-first culture – partnering with other departments to constantly improve safety procedures and metrics.

Complying with all company safety regulations and procedures and report non-compliance.

Operating a safe work environment through continuous safety awareness and full compliance to all Evergy programs and activities.

Ensures compliance of safety program to include meeting OSHA requirements to obtain and maintain zero injuries and no lost time accidents.

QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements:

Prefer a Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operations, or a related field.

Six years of related experience in one of the functional areas of Supply Chain Management or field operations.

Additional related experience may be substituted for a portion of the educational requirement.

Prefer three years of managerial/supervisor experience.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

Knowledge of Maximo and PeopleSoft.

Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and change.

An analytical professional who has the capacity and aptitude to perform quantitative problem solving and measure results through metrics.

Familiarity with Lean / Six Sigma strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software required.

Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to many levels of the company. Make formal and informal presentations to small and large groups on strategies and programs and provide brief, easy to understand findings and recommendations.

Ability to develop and communicate data driven findings and recommendations, creating actionable strategies for Supply Chain as well as communicate them to non-technical audiences.

Self-starter and highly motivated individual with ability to apply tact, assertiveness, sensitivity, coaching, counseling, and training in certain situations.

Strong customer focus and ability to manage customer expectations.

Competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management.

Prioritization skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills (diplomacy, persuasion, cooperation, listening) required with ability to participate in a cross-functional environment.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions:

Normal office working conditions and outside field conditions.

This is a road warrior position, requiring frequent travel to 11 supported locations throughout the South Kansas region, other offices and locations around the company.

Must have a satisfactory work record including good attendance and a good safety record.

Emergency and storm restoration work will require additional hours outside of scheduled work hours and away from normal location.
