Description We are in search of a Project Accountant to join our team based in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Project Accountant, you will be instrumental in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our projects. You will be tasked with tracking, analyzing, and reporting on project financial status, administering supplier contracts, and coordinating accounting activities. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Ensure the accurate preparation and maintenance of project financial data, budgets, forecasts, and cash flows. Administer supplier contract terms, verifying compliance and reviewing payments. Coordinate with company management, project management, and clients to provide financial insight and reporting on the performance of assigned projects. Ensure the project meets all financial obligations in a timely and economic manner in accordance with established policies and goals. Coordinate accounting activities which includes the establishment of accounts and procedures, reporting, and record keeping. Understand and apply revenue recognition, project invoicing, journal entry preparation, and general accounting rules. Conduct month-end closing activities. Assist with or process accounts payable when necessary. Prepare accounts receivable invoices to customers. Ensure compliance with local, state, and corporate policies to facilitate effective and efficient financial reporting. Requirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with Costpoint Knowledge of Deltek and Deltek Vision Comfortable using About Time software Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Auditing processes Proficiency in SAP software Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
