Performs a range of clerical duties related to the support of operations of the unit including updating and organizing information on the unit; coordinating work within the unit and with other units and departments; reporting relevant information to the supervisor; and responding to inquiries and requests from patients, visitors and caregivers.Minimum EducationHigh school graduate or equivalent.Minimum Work ExperienceMinimum of one (1) year experience as surgery scheduler preferred.Required SkillsCertifications: Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
