Accounting Manager

Description We are in search of a proficient Accounting Manager to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role involves the management and coordination of accounting and reimbursement functions. As an Accounting Manager/Supervisor, you will be expected to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, support operational decision-making with data analysis, and act as a liaison between operations and finance.Responsibilities: Direct and coordinate the functions and activities of the Accounting and Reimbursement departments Prepare and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of internal and external financial reports Provide data analysis and recommendations to support operational decision making concerning financial issues Present financial statements and performance measures to senior management monthly Facilitate monthly review meetings with department leaders for all hospital areas, ensuring adherence to budgeted expectations and assisting with corrective action as needed Coordinate the preparation of monthly labor productivity reports Oversee departmental benchmarking and operational analysis Supervise and assist in the preparation of financial statements, reconciling general ledger accounts, and budget review Plan and coordinate the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets Analyze budget variances based upon designed materiality levels prior to financial statement completion deadline Deliver financial statements to appropriate customer free of material misstatements Communicate with operations personnel to understand their business and financial needs on an ongoing basis Continually advance knowledge of software systems used directly or indirectly with the financial statement preparation process Use available technology and software systems efficiently in completing the assigned tasks.To be considered for this direct hire role you need an Accounting degree and 7+ years of supervising a team of 3 or more with solid healthcare accounting and analysis experience. Demonstrated experience in Month End Close processes. Extensive knowledge and experience with General Ledger System. Familiarity with the General Ledger and its applications. Strong skills in Budget Management. Experience in the HealthCare Industry is strongly preferred.
