Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable future!Process Engineer (1901499) – Geismar, LAWhere the Chemistry HappensWe are seeking a professional like you to provide process engineering expertise in support of the development and design of chemical plant expansion, optimization, and debottlenecking projects. In addition, you will provide support to operating units for critical process upset troubleshooting and process optimization, as well as environmental and other regulatory compliance. This role will either support the Polyol or Surfactants site.Formula for Success

Leveraging your Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (preferably Chemical) and your experience in a chemical/petrochemical facility or other similar manufacturing environment, you will provide process engineering expertise in support of the development and design of chemical plant expansion, optimization, and debottlenecking projects.

Successfully engaging across the organization, you will collaborate with and provide support to Project and Design Engineers throughout the scope development, design, and execution phases of capital projects.

Demonstrating your solid technical and problem-solving skills, you will provide process engineering support to business groups and operating units for critical process upset troubleshooting and process optimization.

Your commitment to safety and compliance will be evident as you support environmental and other regulatory compliance activities.

Utilizing your strong leadership and teamwork abilities, you will participate in Process Safety Management (PSM)/Risk Management Program (RMP) and Environmental/Health/Safety (EHS) Audits.

Your robust analytical thinking ability will be a valued asset as you develop/maintain process simulations for operating units.

Using your basic understanding of plant/unit operations and process calculations, you will develop and review Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrument Diagrams, instrument specification sheets, and equipment sizing calculations. You will also design and size process safety components and assist in the preparation of appropriate project documentation.

Your ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate your strong interpersonal skills will serve you well as you participate in Technical Networks and peer groups to ensure application of best practices.
