Small non-profit with 50+ years of community service seeking experienced professional to support our team as a Grants Accountant. Agency budget (1MM). Must have extensive experience with QuickBooks and non-profit programs operating federal and/or state grant reimbursement programs.

The Grant Accountant position provides primary accounting function for all financial reports of awarded grants, maintenance of grants contract files, keeping up-to-date invoicing to contractors/grantor agencies; serves as principal contact for grant and contract accounting functions; prepares grants-related financial reports, journal entries and general ledgers. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to accurately produce financial documentation for all grants. Duties include:

Record bi-weekly payroll to the general ledger.

Record all cash receipts to the general ledger monthly.

Record online payments to the general ledger monthly.

Record all credit card activity to the general ledger monthly.

Reconcile all cash and credit card accounts to the general ledger monthly.

Reconcile grant reporting to the general ledger monthly.

Prepare monthly financial statements to include Statement of Financial Position and Statement of Income and Expenses with budget to actual comparisons for review by the Board of Directors.

Attend Board of Director's meetings to discuss the Organization's financial statements (bi-monthly).

Provide audit assistance in the Organization's independent audit (annually).
