About Us: Smoke and Honey is a unique Greek soul food restaurant located in the heart of Mid City. We pride ourselves on serving delicious, flavorful dishes that feed the heart and soul. Our restaurant is currently open daily from 8:00AM to 3:00PM, and we are excited to expand into night service. Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Line Cook to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our dishes while maintaining safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate BOH and FOH staff to ensure smooth service
- Assist with special events and high-volume periods
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff
- Be willing to learn and teach others
- Have fun while working hard
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of Greek cuisine is a plus!
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well within a small team
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a caring and relaxed work environment
- Flexibility to work either morning (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM) or evening (4:00 PM - 10:30 PM) shifts
