Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled designer / draftsperson to join our team. We custom design homes and barns for our clients, as well as work in conjunction with other builders and architects. Candidates should have drafting and design experience and be proficient in AutoCAD. The role encompasses design work including generating floor plans, elevations, sections, frame plans, and details for custom designed structures. Working and communicating with our clients, as well as working in a collaborative design environment is imperative.
Responsibilities:
Develop and prepare detailed drawings and schematics using CAD software (AutoCAD)
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and specifications.
Revise drawings based on feedback from team members or changes in project scope.
Communicate directly with clients to set expectations and capture their wishes.
Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
Experience:
Proficiency in CAD software
Previous experience in drafting or a related field is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
A degree or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
