Love sharing knowledge about good food and providing warm, thoughtful, excellent customer service? We are looking to add another member to our cheese-loving team.

We are a cut to order cheese shop and specialty grocery store, with a deep commitment to the finest quality. Being a small team, we juggle many responsibilities and tasks. The duties for this role will include receiving orders, stocking shelves, cleaning, light food prep (including making our delicious sandwiches), providing customers with next-level hospitality, and eventually progressing to working on the cheese counter while growing your knowledge of all aspects of our food selection.

The schedule requirements are Sunday-Wednesday. Flexibility to cover other shifts when needed a plus. Very rarely are there early mornings, and basically never are there late evenings.

Requirements include:

Primary Responsibilities:

Customer service, including communicating and talking with lots of folks in a day.

Register work. Seamlessly ring through customers while having an attentive and friendly demeanor.

Basic but growing wine knowledge is helpful

Restocking shelves and prepared food cooler.

Making sandwiches, including using meat slicer and sharp knives.

Maintaining cleanliness and appearance around the shop.

Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, working effectively alongside the entire team.

Qualifications:

Attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.

Ability to work independently and follow standards of quality

Ability to stand and work for 8+ hours.

Able to lift 50+ pounds.

Available to work weekends and holiday lead up is a must.

Experience in this field is not necessary, but helpful. Experience being human and understanding humans is extremely important.
