Timberwoods Mushroom Farm is a small, family-owned operation producing high-quality gourmet mushrooms. Our team values sustainability, consistency, and care at every stage of cultivation. We are seeking a conscientious, reliable, and hands-on Production Manager to join our operations, with opportunities for growth in a specialty agriculture setting.

This role encompasses all aspects of mushroom production, from substrate preparation through harvest and packaging. Working under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the Production Manager supports a small team and helps keep day-to-day on-site operations running smoothly.

Housing opportunities are available for the right candidate, and this position is ideally suited to a live-in arrangement, with some evening and weekend responsibilities. Assist with substrate mixing, bagging, and sterilization

Inoculate and maintain grow rooms in accordance with sanitation protocols

Monitor mushroom development and environmental conditions

Follow safety and quality procedures consistently

Support general farm and facility tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Comfortable working in varied temperature conditions (warm, humid grow rooms and ambient-temperature barn spaces)

Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team

Comfortable using a smartphone and computer for daily communication, scheduling, and documentation

Able to reliably check and respond to messages, track tasks, and enter basic production data as needed

Preferred (but not required) Experience:

Farm, warehouse, or production

Light construction, plumbing, or electrical

Wood processing and/or exterior wood furnace maintenance
