Description HYBRID WORK OPPORTUNITY (IN 1-2 DAYS/WEEK) IN BALTIMORE!LOOKING FOR A HANDS-ON ACCOUNTING MANAGER WITH A NON-PROFIT BACKGROUND PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED)! Robert Half has partnered with an established and reputable client in the area to help hire an Accounting Manager to help lead their team in monthly close and accounting operations. This person will be a strategic partner, and also serve in a hands-on role as the leader of the fund and grant accounting team responsible for financial statement preparation, receivables and the month-end close functions around their funds and grants. As Accounting Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a small team on a daily basis, overseeing accounting operations and responsible for preparing the financial reporting package, interacting frequently with other department heads and senior leadership, and more! Responsible for all financial reporting preparation
Compare monthly operating results against budget
Take the lead on all financial and accounting operations
Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions
Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts
Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention
Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related
5+ years of finance and accounting experience
2+ years of supervisory experience
Experience in non-profit preferred
Experience in grant accounting / fund accounting / gift accounting preferred
Mission driven with strong interpersonal skills and customer service mentality in relationship building
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
