The Controller will be responsible for managing the finance department, handling accounting operations, and providing financial reports. This role will also involve overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ensuring the financial aspects of the department are well-managed.Responsibilities: Lead the month end close process. Oversee and manage the Accounting Department, including 4-6 direct reports Conduct monthly analysis on budget variances and prepare financial reports. Assist in the preparation and creation of the annual budget and projections. Provide senior directors with necessary information and tools to manage the financial aspects of their departments. Monitor cash balances, wire transfer activity, and agency credit card usage. Coordinate and manage the annual audit with external audit firm. Review and manage imports from multiple CRM systems and databases to ensure accuracy of data and successful import into accounting records. Oversee and mentor the accounting staff - hire, train, develop.Requirements Minimum 7 years of experience including several years with multiple direct reports Strong knowledge of GAAP and General Ledger accounting Proficiency managing multiple revenue streams, strong systems skills Familiarity with Budget Processes and Forecasting Proven ability to manage the Month End Close tasks effectively Ability to generate Cash Flow Reports and perform Cash Flow Modeling Experience in Variance Analysis is a must Should possess excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills Demonstrated experience in Auditing and Public Accounting background is desired Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plusRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
