Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer join a 10+year federal contract Fort Meade, MD or Scott AFB, IL with opportunity to work REMOTE . The DevOps Software Engineer will work along side software engineers to assist in creating DevOps software for multiple projects within cloud operations and software automation.
Responsibilities of the DevOps Software Engineer include:- Cultivate CI/CD while building and deploying pipelines using Cloudbees/Jenkins, Artifactory, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible and Bitbucket.
- Assist with the deployment, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, updates/upgrades of Kafka and Elastic clusters and environments.
- Design, develop, test and deploy software written in Python, JavaScript, Java and SQL.
- Work with an Agile team, attend daily scrums and demonstrate working software while collaborating with a geographically distributed (remote) team.
- Troubleshoot and solve installation, infrastructure and system issues.
- Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelors degree within 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- CompTIA Security + Certification or willingness to obtain
- Prior experience designing, building and deploying DevOps pipelines with Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory and Ansible (or equivalent tools)
- Full software lifecycle automation and development on a UNIX platform
- Software experience: designing and building automated software using Ansible, Selenium, Junit etc with deploying software in a cloud environment (AWS is a plus)
- Experience with Kafka connector integrations, custom connector developmen
- Web development experience, specifically using HTML, JavaScript and UI frameworks
- Report and Dashboard development experience with Kibana.
- Experience with Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
- DOD 8570 IAT level II or III certification such as Security+ CE or CISSP.
