What You'll Do:

At V2X, we are making a difference by providing support to programs at NAVAIR. This office is responsible for research, development, acquisition, and sustainment of the Navy's Autonomous Aircraft program. We are looking for a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support the execution of Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) development research and development (R&D) programs. The candidate will be working with our Navy CCA customers to develop new capabilities, define gaps, derive requirements, and develop project task descriptions, specifications, integrated roadmaps, and detailed schedules. This position is located on-site in Patuxent River, MD.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the execution of Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) development research and development (R&D) programs.

Assisting the Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) with program-level/cross-project technical guidance

Interaction and program representation with numerous stakeholders and technical exchange forums

Assessment of technical risk and mitigation alternatives; tailoring of engineering standards and controls for appropriate technical oversight of technology efforts

Projecting and defining specific tasking for the Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) and University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) efforts

Projecting long-range (15+ year) capability gaps and technical road maps

Interaction with various Department of Defense (DoD) Science and Technology {S& T} organizations, and identification of S& T initiatives which are candidates to address capability gaps; creation and tracking of project technical transition criteria

Modeling, simulation and analysis support; and other technical support duties as may arise from either the Program Lead or APMSE

10 – 20% Travel is required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Candidate must have seven (7) or more years of experience with the DoD research and development (R&D) procurement.

Candidate must have experience and a working knowledge of System of Systems Engineering, modeling, simulation, analysis, demonstration and test, Joint Service interaction/leveraging of Joint Service efforts and S& T insertion processes.

Other Requirement:

Active U.S. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.

Software:

Proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).

Technology:

Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
