Azure Microsoft Infrastructure Architect

One of our premier clients is seeking a Azure Microsoft Infrastructure Architect for their growing team. This is a 100% REMOTE role!Role Description:Provide functional and/or technical expertise to plan, analyze, define and support the delivery of future functional and technical capabilities for an application or group of applications. Assist in facilitating impact assessment efforts and in producing and reviewing estimates for client work requests.Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Architect to join our team at SSA. The successful candidate should have a deep understanding of designing, implementing and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure. with a demonstrated track record of designing and implementing innovative solutions to meet the agency’s requirements. With a strong background in Federal government projects and a minimum of 7-10 years of exp, the successful candidate will drive the digital transformation initiatives of our agency while ensuring the highest levels of security and compliance.Required Skills: Experience with Azure Cloud network infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Network, ExpressRoute, DNS configuration, and integration with client on-prem networks. Experience with Azure Active Directory, Azure identity management, and role base access control (RBAC). Experience with Azure Analytics Log Workspace, Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and logging consolidation and monitoring. Experience with Azure DevOps and developing CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Kubernetes in Azure is a plus. Strong proficiency in Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure AD, Networking, Storage, App Services, and Security Center. Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable cloud architectures, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Deep understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, VNETs, subnets, firewalls, and load balancers. Expertise in automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps. Solid knowledge of security best practices and tools within the Azure ecosystem. Experience with disaster recovery, high availability, and backup solutions in a cloud environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer are highly desirableKey Responsibilities:           Architecture Design: Lead the design of complex Azure cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs. Develop detailed architecture blueprints and design documentation.           Implementation: Oversee the deployment of Azure infrastructure solutions, including virtual networks, compute, storage, identity management, and security. Ensure proper configuration and integration of services within the Azure ecosystem.           Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, cost-efficiency, and security. Implement monitoring, logging, and automation to enhance operational efficiency.           Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, development, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud infrastructure with application and service development. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.           Disaster Recovery & Backup: Design and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure high availability and data integrity in the event of service interruptions.           Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure designs, configurations, processes, and procedures.
