Public Staff Tax Accountant

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Public Staff Tax Accountant in Timonium, Maryland. This role primarily operates in the accounting industry, and the successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of duties related to tax accounting and financial auditing. Responsibilities: Accurately process high volume individual tax returns using CCH Prosystem software. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial statements. Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx for efficient accounting functions. Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed. Resolve customer inquiries regarding their tax and financial matters. Monitor customer accounts and financial transactions for any irregularities. Use your skills in individual tax return processing to provide top-notch service to our clients. Keep up-to-date with the latest tax regulations to ensure compliance in all accounting tasks. Assist in maintaining the firm's financial statement records in an orderly and timely manner. Requirements Possess a minimum of five years of experience in the field of public staff tax accounting. Proficient in the use of CCH Prosystem and CCH ProSystem Fx software. Demonstrable knowledge and experience in various accounting functions. Proficiency in auditing processes and procedures. Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements. Experience in preparing individual tax returns. Knowledge and experience in individual tax regulations and compliance.
