Experience what’s next at Avnet!Job Summary:The Project Manager role is responsible for the scheduling, orchestrating, and implementing hardware installations at end user sites. Avnet is looking for a problem solver who has excellent communication skills, knows the intricacies of executing technology implementations, and has experience managing internal and external expectations. This Project Manager role will be the face of the Avnet brand and is critical to the unparalleled service we strive to provide at Avnet.The right candidate must be a go getter with an entrepreneurial mindset who doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves and continuing to improve the customer experience. At Avnet, our focus is not only world class design, configuration, and build of technology solutions but also the onsite installation and long-term maintenance and support of physical hardware throughout its lifecycle.Requirements:

Experience in healthcare implementation or overall healthcare industry with emphasis on hardware project management.

Responsibilities:

Successfully manage the planning, scheduling, and orchestration of Hardware Installation projects with other Information Services & Business teams.

Oversee several projects while ensuring collaboration between clients, IT, technical resources, and back office.

Acts as the project's authority, single point of contact, and escalation point by monitoring, reporting, and working with IT teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Develop, manage, and monitor project plans to ensure adherence to deadlines, tasks, etc.

Manages communications with internal stakeholders and the client during integrations.

Create and oversee the resource capacity planning necessary to complete projects.

Regularly communicate the status, risks, and issues of projects and develop mitigation strategies.

Roadblocks should be effectively anticipated, identified, and removed.

Metrics should be defined, and effective project controls should be established.

Project status meetings should be independently facilitated and led.

Work Experience:

Typically 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

PMP certification and/or MBA is a plus

6+ years of implementation-related project management experience

Hardware project management within a healthcare environment is highly preferred.

STRONG communicator. Able to communicate technical concepts and activity to both technical and non-technical people.

Previous experience leading the delivery of technology projects - special consideration for healthcare IT experience.

Experience with current project management toolsets
