Packing Operator - 2nd Shift OMG Inc. is a leading manufacturer of

machine operating processes, hand packing techniques and effective lean

manufacturing principles to pack our product. This position routinely

operates automated- and semiautomated machines to pack parts

according to specifications and Kanban card requirements. The Packing

Operator also may hand pack at times as product needs demand. Reporting

to the Shift Supervisor, the Packing Operator must be a team player and

committed to delivering the best quality to our customers!

Responsibilities Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all OMG

employees Sets up machine, observes operation, and ensures product is

packed according to specifications. Adjusts specified tooling and sets

packing speeds and feed rates. Performs preventative maintenance

inspections as required. Observes all safety rules. Assists other

Packing Operators with machine set up, and stacking, marking, packing,

and transporting packed product. Maintains a neat and well-organized

work area. Other duties as directed by Shift Supervisor or Group Leader.

Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to interpret

safety instructions, job orders, quality specifications, and other

related documents. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong

math and mechanical reasoning skills. Ability to contribute as part of a

team. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to

finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands

and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or move up to 50

pounds. Good close vision and depth perception skills. Positive

attitude, good judgment and excellent time management skills. Strong

sense of responsibility and ownership!
